Young Journalist Centre from Moldova (CTJM) was founded on 25 September 2002 by a group of 11 young journalists, working in the school newspapers from different regions of the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the Independent Journalism Centre and UNICEF Moldova. The Centre’s main activities include: facilitating access to information for children and young people in Moldova, raising the quality of school publications, training of young journalists and establishing a partnership between media organizations and youth groups in Moldova.
One important project of this organization is ‘’Buletinul Tau’’ (Your Newsletter) which is a monthly publication, conducted on voluntary base by a team of youngsters from Young Journalist Centre from Moldova. They also launched their own radio station through which they aim to offer young enthusiasts the opportunity to learn radio journalism and to provide “radio training” involving the best experts in the field. Other activities include sending young Moldavian people in international projects abroad such as Youth Exchanges and Training Courses funded by the Youth in Action Programme.
