    “Club House Summer Camp”

    Dates: 18 to 24 August, Kurzeme coast – Upesgrivas.

    Description of practice :

    Club “House” camps are organized for various creative, sporting activities. They are also connected with EU issues and topics. This year, participants were able to get information, provoke discussion and reveal much about the new Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The method of working is always non formal education, traditional and non-traditional sports, as well as swimming in the sea, trekking, workshops, thematical evenings.

    Need addressed:

    Young people who are already in the club “House” or the Latvian school clubs, and also other young people between 16 and 25 years old are invited to apply for the camp. Participation in the camp is free of charge.

    Camps are created for young people to involve them into citizen education, non formal learning and raising awareness about European Union.

    Outcomes:

    Thanks to summer camps young people have an opportunity to spend their free time and holidays in creative and useful way. They meet new friends, have fun but all is connected to non formal education and EU citizenship learning.
